We from POLYAS look back at our year full of achievements. In 2016 we\u2019ve set an important course for our company, our product and the future of digital democracy.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>We&#8217;ve been awarded<\/h3>\n<p>The year 2016 started with an award. Our Online Voting Software CORE 2.2.3\u00a0is\u00a0the first online voting system in the world that has been certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) according to international Common Criteria standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The POLYAS voting system (Version 2.2.3) fulfill these requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The identity of the voter cannot be tracked from the vote they&#8217;ve cast<\/li>\n<li>Voters cannot\u00a0proof their decision to third parties<\/li>\n<li>The electorate\u00a0can\u00a0be clearly and reliably identified and authenticated, so that only registered persons from the electoral roll may vote<\/li>\n<li>Voters can cast their vote only once<\/li>\n<li>Votes cannot be changed, deleted or added during their transfer through\u00a0the network.<\/li>\n<li>Votes in the ballot box cannot be additionally changed, deleted or added<\/li>\n<li>Interim inputs are not counted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polyas.com\/security\/certified-online-voting-software\"><u>Learn more about the BSI certificate now<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>New customers and new spheres<\/h3>\n<p>In 2016 we were able to\u00a0win\u00a0a lot of\u00a0new customers. Several dozen elections have been conducted with us. At the same time we conquered some completely new spheres. Furthermore we held the first online staff council election in a Dax30\u00a0enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover we offered our online voting solutions for the first time for the internal elections of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).<\/p>\n<p>In addition\u00a0a lot of\u00a0universities, credit unions, associations, chambers and science institutions conducted their elections\u00a0with POLYAS again.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polyas.com\/case-studies\"><u>Read here the case studies of our customers<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>POLYAS goes international<\/h3>\n<p>We have discovered that online elections are not only interesting for German customers, so we started expanding in many other countries as well.\u00a0We could welcome new customers from Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the UK, USA and Canada. We&#8217;re planning\u00a0to\u00a0intensify and expand\u00a0these contacts.<\/p>\n<p>In order to adapt the election system for our international customers we offer our system in four languages since this year &#8211; in German, English, French and Italian.<\/p>\n<h3>POLYAS on stage<\/h3>\n<p>Not only do our customers now come from far away, we ourselves have travelled a lot this year too. We visited several conventions and fairs, such as the International Summit of Cooperatives in Canada, re:publica in Dublin and the SMAU in\u00a0Milan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2016 was an exciting year for us, but it\u2019s just the beginning.
